Venket Ram is a commercial photographer based in Chennai. For over 18 years, he's been working with various advertising agencies & publishing houses across India.
He's also been working with the film industry, shooting for the promos for over a hundred movies. He strives for perfection for every picture he shoots. He takes great care in composing each frame & pays great attention to detail.

Some of the most remembered movie images: Boys, Kannathil Muthamittal, Sachin, Kaaka Kaaka, Ayudha Ezhuthu, Ghajini, Paruthiveeran, Vettaiadu Vilaiyadu, Rajni block-buster Sivaji ,Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya, Ayan, Adhavan, Asal, Manmadhan Ambu, Singam, Vaanam , Madrasapattinam, Boss Engira Baskaran, Muran,Velayudham, Jilla, Billa 2 and Kamal Hassan's Vishwaroopam. Kodak India chose him to shoot for the Kodak 2002 calendar, considering him to be one of the leading ad-photographers in South India.
Apart from his regular work, there are images that are not in his professional agenda. Images that he captures for his own sake. He has showcased these in a couple of exhibitions. In 2003, he had an exhibition of his Black & white photographs on the temples of the Chola Dynasty – Tanjavur in Alliance Françoise. Venket Ram used celebrated actors alongside vintage cars for his Calendar 2011– each shot, planned to bring out the timeless beauty of the cars and the magnetic personality of the stars in the same frame. Needless to say, it was a big hit in the city…
Intricately crafted Calendar 2012, 12 beautiful leading ladies of Indian cinema come together to grace the pages. He chose a palette of colors for each of them & worked on each composition within those colors.
2013 calendar had a spectacular jungle theme, every page with brilliantly crafted creations by leading designers.
