Born in Nagarkovil to a tamil based Muslim family, His real name is Nafeez Kizar. His father was Professor in Trichy Govt Law College.
He moved to Trichy in his childhood and completed his schooling. later moved to Chennai for his college.
Arav studied B.E. in Mechanical Engineering at Hindustan College, Chennai. Eventhough offered with job in various company, he followed his passion.
Mr. V.S. Anandhakrishna (Celebrity Photographer) made his as model. He helped him to enter modeling world.
For Modeling he changed his name from Nafeez to Arav, after Vijay Television mispelled his name in Bigg Boss show as Aarar.
He featured in more than 100+ television commercial advertisment. With some contacts in Cinema industry, he played a role in Vijay Anthony's Saithan movie, released in 2016.
